Nahual is a specialty coffee that comes from the high mountains of the Guerrero region in Mexico, where it is carefully cultivated by the indigenous Me’phaa community.

It is a natural coffee, made from botanical varieties such as Typica, Bourbon, and Caturra, grown at altitudes between 1,200 and 1,800 meters above sea level. In the cup, it reveals elegant notes of ripe plum, orange zest, and dark chocolate.

More than just coffee, Nahual is a bridge between culture and land: it merges ancestral agricultural traditions with sustainable practices, maintaining a strict focus on quality.

The name Nahual is no coincidence—it draws inspiration from Mesoamerican mythology, where it symbolizes the ability to transform, to shift shapes, to move from one state to another. For the ancient Nahua and Maya peoples, the nahual was a guiding spirit, often connected to a totemic animal, that accompanied each person from birth. This power of transformation makes it the perfect name for a coffee that expresses itself in many ways, both as espresso and as filter.

Interestingly, this lot was born from an unexpected encounter: a trip to a coffee farm in Ethiopia led to a serendipitous meeting with the Mexican producer, sparking a fortunate and profound collaboration.
